Your word of the....year?

If you had to choose one word for this new year, what would it be? What are your hopes for 2009? What new adventures are in store for you? I'm planning to make some changes for my health. This isn't something I'm particularly confident about (Hello...I would rather sit inside and play games or read than do that "Exer..." word.) So to counteract that, I'm choosing the word Courage. Here's a great quote:

“Courage is not having the strength to go on; it is going on when you don’t have the strength. Industry and determination can do anything that genius and advantage can do and many things that they cannot.” -- Theodore Roosevelt

And your word for the year is?

I have similar goals as you regarding health, but I have several medical road blocks to crash through first. So, my word for the year will be perseverance.

When the world says, "Give up,"
Hope whispers, "Try it one more time."

"Have I not commanded you be strong and courageous? Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you may go".....Joshua 1:9
What shall my word be????? Hmmm, long-suffering perhaps....I'm working on medical issues, also!

Joy. Joy in the many blessings God has given me. Joy in the moment. Joy in looking back; and joy in anticipation of the future.

A friend sent me this wonderful sight which fits perfectly with my word for the year "Joy."
I hope you and your following find it inspiring also. Love, Mom

Have you changed your word of the year to "sweetbabygirl"? (Okay, I couldn't think of just one word to fit well enough.

I am still trying to decide on a word. I think perseverance or determination might be it. I REALLY want to lose some weight and get healthier. I am even considering a boot camp!
