New Year, New Start: Day 7

clip_image002Baubles, bangles, and …beadless, backless, and broken.  Take a jaunt through your jewelry box and throw something away! If you need help deciding what is no longer in style, find a teenager. Trust me, if it makes them roll their eyes – out it goes!

Renee, please save your discords for me. I use them as gifts when I visit a friend in the nursing home who is mentally challenged and loves baubles. I've just about depleted mine and Mother's supply. Love, Mom

PS I would recommend this idea for you and your friends.

Great idea....it's the little things that we often never remember to get to. My jewelry box, at this moment is very 'clean' and 'neat' because my Grandson loves to play pirate and my jewelry box is often 'plundered'.

Hey there Renee - Enjoying your New Year's Days! All great! My daughter just went through my jewelry box, organized it, threw out some junk, unknotted chains, etc. I couldn't do anything without her! She picks up my slack so much!

I use single earrings that are very shiny and glamorous, even very much out of style to decorate a miniature Christmas tree. I even have some of mom's old clip on earrings. Just another way to keep the memories.

Great idea....one thing I have found and I need to fix is that since I've begun hanging my necklaces on my Estate Towel Holder is that they get dirty quicker. I need to give everything that I intend to keep a quick wipe off, too. I also have a glass tray that I was using to dump jewelry onto when I take it off....again, finding it gets dusty. Is it just my house that seems to be drowning in DUST??? Thanks for the tip!

Mom, I have some waiting for you! I'll start a box.
Marla, what a neat idea! I'm tucking that one away.
Suzanne, dust...dog hair...guinea pig hay... we keep lint-roller companies in business over here!
